Grey-hooded Parakeet/Sierra Parakeet
Belonging to the parrot family.
Parrots with size around 20 cm, including the long tail, has general coloring green with forehead, crown and nape purplish brown, cheeks and chest and belly gray-purple gray. Beak and legs pink, brown iris.
Inhabits the dry bushy slopes and valleys sparsely wooded.
He lives on the slopes of the Andean western and central Bolivia in Argentina Northwest and is common throughout the area. In captivity it does not fit very well and is a little raised.
It builds its nest by digging into the ground, the female lays 7-10 eggs that will hatch after 25 days of incubation.
The young fledge before the sixth week of life.
Feeding:Berries, seeds of grasses and fruit meadows.
